trevelyan Posted May 15, 2011 at 04:13 AM Report Posted May 15, 2011 at 04:13 AM A quick note to share the good news that we've just published the official vocabulary lists for the revised HSK on our HSK test page at Popup Chinese. Hanban still serving up the old lists through its website, and these new lists aren't available in digital form elsewhere yet, so we've had to digitize these and add the appropriate pinyin, english and part-of-speech information given the test level. Feedback is welcome. We'll be keeping these up-to-date as the test evolves over time, so if you spread these online please link to Popup Chinese as the source. 2 Quote
wezel Posted May 15, 2011 at 03:27 PM Report Posted May 15, 2011 at 03:27 PM This is much appreciated. As I have no particular reason to take any test, I was always curious to know where my level is (around level 3 or so - not enough to be useful, but enough to be dangerous Quote
querido Posted May 15, 2011 at 03:45 PM Report Posted May 15, 2011 at 03:45 PM I thank you also. I like staying coordinated with "standards". Note that the link provided includes an Old/New HSK equivalency table. Quote
rezaf Posted May 15, 2011 at 03:51 PM Report Posted May 15, 2011 at 03:51 PM The 23rd word in your HSK level 6's list should be 拔苗助長 not 揠苗助長 as I guess it's the B part. Quote
amandagmu Posted June 20, 2011 at 12:56 AM Report Posted June 20, 2011 at 12:56 AM Are there really only 1300 words on this list??? I am utterly confused. I bought an HSK level 5 practice book on Amazon (via another rec on here) published by BLCU. The introduction says HSK Level 5 corresponds to a knowledge of roughly 2500 words and the ability to read newspaper articles and such (which I know I can do). I know that there are possibly still two versions of the HSK - the old and the new - and I also know that the former one is much more difficult, but really just 1300 words? This can't be right? Quote
elliott50 Posted June 20, 2011 at 06:01 AM Report Posted June 20, 2011 at 06:01 AM @amandagmu,HSK 5 has 1300 additional words to the 1200 of HSK 1-4, making a total of 2500. Quote
amandagmu Posted June 20, 2011 at 08:36 AM Report Posted June 20, 2011 at 08:36 AM ah! thanks. I'm an idiot. Quote
