kungpao_chicken Posted June 4, 2011 at 03:34 PM Report Posted June 4, 2011 at 03:34 PM Don't worry about China at all! From the months I spent there it is like heaven compared to Detroit and a lot safer. It is safer than even Los Angeles. I was never worried about anywhere I walked through. Just be careful of pretty women, anyone that is pushy trying to get you to drink tea with them or look at artwork are just crooks, tell them "Bu Yao" and keep walking. 1 Quote

I recommend, as a side note, you watch 'Requiem for Detroit' - which is an independent documentary on the way in which Detroit has changed over the years, and the way in which various businesses came in, then left. The music in this documentary is fantastic, and really does chart the rise and fall of Detroit as a city - I genuinely felt it was on of the best documentaries I've ever seen. 1 Quote
kungpao_chicken Posted June 22, 2011 at 08:43 PM Report Posted June 22, 2011 at 08:43 PM [off-topic bit removed] back on topic, china is safe, but unless you are rico suave the girls in the city arent going to pay much attention to you until you learn some language and culture skills. I did however meet a lot of beautiful girls in every city I traveled too, but I am rico suave and they all thought I looked like Beckham with my mohawk. I've never had it easier talking with ladies, probably because they are mostly well respected by the men there. As long as you act intelligent and not like a jersey-shore douchebag you will make plenty of friends ;) Quote
