LyYenKhang Posted May 19, 2011 at 08:35 PM Report Share Posted May 19, 2011 at 08:35 PM 斜陽 means "sunset" but can you reverse it to "陽 斜" to make 斜 a verb "sun setting"? If not, how would you translate "sun sets" (using "sets" as a verb)? Also, as to the use of 追 as a verb, does it only apply to like a horse running, or can a 鳥 "追" as well? And can 行 mean "rows", as in 雙行 (two rows)?
skylee Posted May 19, 2011 at 11:59 PM Report Share Posted May 19, 2011 at 11:59 PM Consider 日落. Re 行, yes. Not sure what the question is regarding 追.

"追" is a verb, meaning "chase, pursue" so it can go with any subject that can perform this act.
