payta Posted May 23, 2011 at 08:25 PM Report Share Posted May 23, 2011 at 08:25 PM Hi, everybody! My hobby is relics hunting, especially coins hunting. I live in Russia, 70km away from Moscow. I have found one strange coin and want to recognize it, could you, please help me? Here is a photo of it. What is the age of this coin, from which province it is, and what does this hieroglyphs mean? fanglu Posted May 23, 2011 at 11:06 PM Report Share Posted May 23, 2011 at 11:06 PM (I can only type simplified characters, not the traditional characters on the coin sorry) In the centre: 光绪 - The Guanxu Emperor (1875-1908) 元宝 - A Chinese (gold, silver etc) ingot (I presume this means the coin was originally made from an ingot) Around the outside: 浙江省造 - made in Zhejiang Province 当十 - 10 cash
