heifeng Posted May 29, 2011 at 03:28 PM Report Posted May 29, 2011 at 03:28 PM Use more griddles & burners? Make it like Pizza hotpot & cook it at their table for a few minutes I guess. So serious....you really want some pizza huh  Quote
liuzhou Posted May 29, 2011 at 03:33 PM Report Posted May 29, 2011 at 03:33 PM Yeah, I've been in pizza places in China like that. The first person to be served was half way back to Europe before the last was served. People have fossilised waiting for their pizzas. You can't serve pizzas commercially using domestic kitchen equipment. Quote
DullM Posted May 29, 2011 at 06:43 PM Author Report Posted May 29, 2011 at 06:43 PM @Kiz, when my friends really brought a big bag of Wang-Wang rice crackers to visit his teacher's home in the Chinese new year, I thought that the Chinese were really open-minded to accept "new thing". So why not a pizza? Maybe we can make a Mooncake Calzone with some cream cheese with smashed potato and salty duck-egg salt yolks. @Aristole1990 & @abcdefg, I saw this delicious pizza in Guilin just 3 weeks ago and it was Y2. If the pizza is too "chinese", the customers will only be willing to pay the Chinese price too. This tujia (土家) pizza was much more delicious than I expected though. @heifeng, the idea about pizza hotpot is hilarious but I've spent my whole day talking with my friends on hotpot pizza, make-at-your-own-table ice-cream and etc. I really like this idea, although I have no idea how to make it. heifeng Posted May 29, 2011 at 07:11 PM Report Posted May 29, 2011 at 07:11 PM (Just to deviate from the commercial pizza topic for a second here's how you can make ice cream with your friends, get an ice cream ball (http://icecreamrevolution.com) (or make ice cream with your sled pulling dogs (http://icecreamrevolution.com/galleries.html) ..anyway, I'll let you guys put your 'business plan' together B) ) Quote
DullM Posted May 30, 2011 at 04:52 AM Author Report Posted May 30, 2011 at 04:52 AM I saw the ice-cream making ball three years ago. I think it's to be made in a playground rather than at a restaurant. To make instant ice cream at a restaurant, you may use nitrogen (at the risk of getting cold burn) http://www.5min.com/Video/Learn-about-Liquid-Nitrogen-Ice-Cream-83226987 or more feasible way called Chaobing http://baike.baidu.com/view/2418229.htm Quote
