Where are the proposed solutions?

I've recently been attempting to get in at least an hour of reading each day. I'm interested most in China's social problems and the proposed solutions.

A problem I've found, however, is that most writers, at least online, tend to only be complaining. "China needs democracy" or "The government needs reform" seem popular, but I don't see any real concrete ideas with realistic solutions.

Clearly, I'm not reading everything under the sun. I also tend to just skim through online papers, etc. and find something that appeals to me, so I'm not exactly thorough in my search. In general, however, I find a clear lack of ideas from Chinese writers.

Are there any online papers, journals, bloggers, etc. who frequently include proposed solutions in their articles? If so, could you please share?

I agree with you about most blogs and news articles about China and the excessive complaining, it's not constructive thinking.

There's one blog I like to read called China Law Blog. It's fair and resourceful, often offering solutions. Although focused on law, they have some great professionally written articles.

I've made a blog that I hope to expand soon, although I don't propose any solutions, I keep it fair with a positive outlook.

Please share any other good blogs, news sites, etc, you may know of.

What are you reading? I would recommend 财新新世纪周刊 to you.

There are constructive solution-oriented writing to be found. The main difference is that writers have to be much more careful in criticizing the government.

Heh, for a moment I thought that was a typo for caijing. That's a bit of strange domain name, especially considering on their site, their English branding uses the name caixin.

Thanks for the responses.

@ohaacke

I'm looking for Chinese reading material.

@gato

I actually have quite a large list of "papers" I flip through each morning, including:

http://www.nfcmag.com/

http://nd.oeeee.com/

http://www.haohaoreport.com/ (English mostly)

There are also quite a few blogs I read, but I'm lazy right now and don't feel like listing those. In general, they also lack constructive proposals for dealing with various issues.
