jbradfor Posted June 2, 2011 at 02:40 AM Report Share Posted June 2, 2011 at 02:40 AM There are three ways to get word lists into ZDT: make from within ZDT, import, or restore. For importing, ZDT is very flexible in the format to import; pretty much any regular format will do. Personally, I've had good luck with traditional<tab>simplified<tab>pinyin<tab>definition saved in UTF-16 format. Once the word list is created, create a new category for it, highlight the new category, and click on "import". Then basically follow the directions. The only downside to the import function is that is sometimes rejects entries for reasons unclear to me.

jbradfor Posted June 2, 2011 at 01:40 PM Report Share Posted June 2, 2011 at 01:40 PM That works as well. Just in case you missed it, note that you can drag-and-drop words from the dictionary within ZDT to a category; this can make creating lists much faster.
