liao Posted June 8, 2011 at 05:29 AM Report Posted June 8, 2011 at 05:29 AM (edited) I've just started reading 櫻蘭高校男棍公關部 (I thought it would be an easy read) and I'm already stumped, vocabulary-wise. The only definition I can find for 發慌 is "to feel nervous or flustered." It doesn't really fit.The passage reads: 這裡的男公關部就是六個閒得發慌的高中部美麗男子。 Any suggestions or explanations? semantic nuance Posted June 8, 2011 at 08:17 AM Report Posted June 8, 2011 at 08:17 AM consider 'bored to death'. Quote
creamyhorror Posted June 8, 2011 at 11:45 AM Report Posted June 8, 2011 at 11:45 AM Maybe it's akin to "bored to tears": getting jumpy and frustrated due to boredom. Quote
