jbradfor Posted June 17, 2011 at 09:14 PM Report Posted June 17, 2011 at 09:14 PM Why Read? Comics are an ideal medium for learners who want reading practice but do not yet have the ability to easily consume prose works. Plus, sequential art is just plain fun. Based on our majestic Grand First Episode Project and Grand TV Project, this thread will give you the most important information you need to jump right into it. Most of the threads linked here have vocabulary lists as well. If you have recommendation for comics to read, or general questions, we have a thread for that as well. What should I read? We have comics in both simplified and traditional characters, about martial arts, a 5-year-old girl with green hair, a dragon-riding mercenary, and more than one love-stuck hero / heroine. With a new one being added approximately every month, there should be some for every taste. And feihong has assembled an amazing spreadsheet of online comics from which you can select. The following posts can help you select where to start. Each wiki page contains more information about each comic, including a link to the word list. But once you start, be warned, comics can be addictive! 3 Quote
