Dmac Posted June 22, 2011 at 05:53 AM Report Posted June 22, 2011 at 05:53 AM Hey again! I looked into this myself a couple months ago (specifically for a Catholic church). Here is a listing of churches in Wuhan from a reputable looking expat site. It seems there is only one Protestant church in Wuhan: "The Protestant Glory Church." (Perhaps an umbrella for all Protestant denominations...?) It's located on 26 Huangshi Road, in Hankou District. Hope this helps! Quote
eloper Posted June 22, 2011 at 06:28 AM Report Posted June 22, 2011 at 06:28 AM there is a Catholic Church in Wuchang somewhere near simenkou that is quite popular. a bit of a stereotype, but you might want to ask some of the African international students. large percentage attend church. Quote

New Members Brent Posted June 28, 2011 at 07:31 AM New Members Report Posted June 28, 2011 at 07:31 AM I spent a semester studying in Wuhan and went every week to WICF (Wuhan International Christian Fellowship). It met in the bottom of Thanksgiving Church (感恩唐), which is a government-approved Chinese church (so there's nothing illegal about it). Chinese people aren't allowed into WICF (because it's Chinese law). WICF has more of a pentacostal bent. Some of the preaching was a little sketchy doctrinally but all-in-all it was a good place to go every week and worship with other believers. I lived in Huazhong Normal University and there was a group in the dorm who went to that church and had a weekly bible study in the dorm. I'm almost sure some of them are still around. 1 Quote
