Why are there more guys learning Chinese than girls?

All the Chinese classes I ever took were dominated by males. Some classes only had one women, the teacher.

I peeked into the other rooms at my university where the other language classes are. French and Spanish clearly seemed dominated by females. In the English class the gender distribution was equal.

Guys like adventures and Chinese girls. Girls like Spanish guys. Chinese is a gamble when aiming to use it for business. There is a good chance you will not get it to a high enough level. Girls don't gamble.
