New Members adkich Posted July 2, 2011 at 08:37 AM New Members Report Posted July 2, 2011 at 08:37 AM I need to fill out a form but it does not allow Chinese Characters to be entered. For things like name and age this was easy to do but I am having difficulty figuring out how to properly write a Chinese address into this form. The address in Chinese is 中国广东省深圳市盐田区小梅沙宾云径20号银园培训中心邮编:518083. I assume for some things like 中国 I can use the direct translation and write China, but for other parts of the address it might be better to use Pinyin instead. Can anyone offer some advice? Thanks! xiaocai Posted July 3, 2011 at 06:37 AM Report Posted July 3, 2011 at 06:37 AM I think you can just use Pinyin if you are not sure about the official English translation (as a matter of fact, many places don't even have one). I have done that once before and nothing went wrong... Quote
Daan Posted July 3, 2011 at 08:03 AM Report Posted July 3, 2011 at 08:03 AM Your best bet is to use Pinyin throughout: 中国广东省深圳市盐田区小梅沙宾云径20号银园培训中心邮编:518083. Yinyuan Peixun Zhongxin Binyunjing 20 hao Xiaomeisha shequ, Yantian qu Shenzhen shi, Guangdong sheng P.R. China 518083 I don't think using translations like "Training Centre" would help the Chinese postal service Quote
