I've been pondering a situation in which this sentence makes sense. I mean, how can you "promise" someone to give birth? You can promise to try to get pregnant, or if you are pregnant you can say you "will" give birth, but "promise" seems strange to me.

That said, here is my attempt.

承诺你明年生下

or

你要跟我性交 (joke, don't use this one....)

Try this: 我想明年要宝宝。

I don't know if you would like to try a slightly less direct way to say it or not but here is my go: 我希望可以明年做妈妈。

Are there any euphemisms for trying to get pregnant? In English, for example, one often says "TTC" (trying to conceive). Some years ago the Atlantic had a competition for the best euphemism for trying to get pregnant; I believe the winner was "mating expectantly".

If he want you to conceive this year, but you want to get pregnant next year, you can say: 我想明年再怀孕。或者是：我想明年再要宝宝。It means you don't want to get pregnant this year, you want to get pregnant next year.

If someone asked what time you want to get pregnant, you can say: 我想明年怀孕。或者是：我想明年要宝宝。This only means you want to get pregnant next year.

If someone asked what time you want to get pregnant, you can say: 我想明年怀孕。或者是：我想明年要宝宝。

If I'm asked what time, I would say after midnight. ;)
