Hi. Ive been trying to find out what this means. Not even sure what language it is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

It may also trying to be a transliteration of a name, e.g. "Dan".

Hi, I am probably going to get a reputation for this being one of things that gets me on my soapbox. People getting tattooes and not knowing what they mean. It was explained to me on this forum in one word - alcohol. So i decided not to go on about it but this one just got me going, its so big and permanent and the meaning is unknown. Sorry just got to me. shelley

Oh maybe not so big just realised it an arm not a back:)

well, like other hanzi, individually it can have many meanings, like in "耽搁", it means " delay", while in "耽于" it means " dedicated to sth, or love to do sth".
