skylee Posted July 19, 2011 at 08:04 AM Report Posted July 19, 2011 at 08:04 AM Do people usually install these players? Are they safe? Is there a way to play the videos without installing the respective players? Is there one player for all these formats? I only have windows media player and if possible I would like to avoid installing softwares. Quote
DespikableMi Posted July 19, 2011 at 11:11 AM Report Posted July 19, 2011 at 11:11 AM QVOD(快播) random review i found: http://edwardkhoo.com/is-it-safe-to-download-qvod-player/ WOT reputation: http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/qvod.com/comment Conclusion: unsafe ratings but popular GVOD(迅播) No reviews or ratings in english yet but judging from the interface of the website I'd say it's safe. It has good reputation among Chinese users also. Alternatives: 豪杰超级解霸 - http://www.haojie.cn/ - decent reputation and quite popular but somehow the main page looks so like one of those fraud sites 暴风影霸 - http://www.skycn.com/soft/31538.html - very popular and good ratings but can't seem to find the official site 迅雷看看播放器 - http://dl.xunlei.com/xmp.html - probably the most popular player in China. I recommend trying this PPTV网络电视- http://www.pptv.com/ - good reputations and ratings. Recommended PPS网络电视 - http://www.ppstream.com/ - Recommended 1 Quote

skylee Posted July 19, 2011 at 01:07 PM Author Report Posted July 19, 2011 at 01:07 PM I am not sure if I understand correctly ... I want to watch this TV drama online and there are three options (the three in the title). I suppose it is in three different formats and I have to install one of the software to watch it, right? I can't just install, say, QQ Live or Xunlei, to watch a QVOD video, am I right? I like pptv a lot. But I don't need to install anything to watch the videos there. Or do you need to install a pptv software? PS - PPTV has just updated the series and now I can watch the latest episode without installing any software. Quote
Areckx Posted August 13, 2011 at 03:45 AM Report Posted August 13, 2011 at 03:45 AM Ok this may be due to my lack of comprehension, but I can't seem to find the same videos on the xunlei player that I could find on tudou.com For example, I want to watch mandarin dub of Inuyasha, but I can only find the Japanese version. 犬夜叉国语 \\ Again, I don't know how to navigate around Chinese except characters I know from their use in Japanese, but it seems like the xunlei player only lists stuff that are officially categorized? When I search 犬夜叉国语 it brings up nothing. In tudou.com I can find a lot of stuff by searching. (Also... the inevitable lol@ PPstream... pee pee...oh nvm I'm done lmao) Quote
