ZDT: is the sound proposed to work?

More than a year ago I posted this request for help.

" Being a novice Chinese student I just tried to start with ZDT. Looks very promising.

Unfortunately I could not get the sound working. I have donwloaded the sound.adso_0.3.0 jar in the plugins subdirectory, but under Window/Preferences/Sound nothing shows as Primary Sound Plugin.

I checked under Help/About/Plug-in Details but did not find a Sound Plug-in there.

Please could anybody who succeeded in properly install the file help?"

There came no reaction, so I abandoned the use of ZDT.

Now I would like to try it again, basically to give full attention to the sound.

Therefore, could anybody tell me please how I can get the sound in ZDT working.

I discovered ZDT today for the first time. I'm very impressed!

Also, both sound plugins worked fine for me (female and male voice). I'm running Win XP and Java 6.

What environement are you using?

Hi there,

I am also new at studying Chinese, and just downloaded ZDT. It will be a great help... but I am also having trouble with the sound plugin. I am using a Macbook and the key F3 is used for muting sound, so it doesn't work for the ZDT sounds... or am I mistaken???

In any case, I couldn't get it to work... if anyone can help, this would be very appreciated.
