New Members Holism Posted August 5, 2011 at 05:13 PM New Members Report Posted August 5, 2011 at 05:13 PM Hey all. I got the CSC scholarship for a year of mandarin study at Zhejiang Normal University, in Jinhua. I wasn't expecting this but I guess you never know where they will send you. I'm really excited about going to study mandarin in China for a year and I'm trying to learn about ZJNU and Jinhua, but haven't found much info around. In this forum I only found a bit discouraging topic about a guy sharing his experience getting there, and I don't really know what to expect of the university, the mandarin classes there and life in Jinhua in general. It would be great if there someone around who can maybe give some info about many questions: What's the city like? WHat's there to do? What's the quality of the chinese teaching at the uni? What's the deal with the local dialect? Etc Is anybody else going there for the next year? Anybody living there already? Quote
New Members Gurui Posted August 30, 2011 at 07:38 PM New Members Report Posted August 30, 2011 at 07:38 PM I'm also going to ZJNU this September after I had spent one year in Nanjing ... I got some informations about the city it seems quite good . The university is also good (Education and environnement), I also heard that the dorms are OK ... Life there is cheaper , There is no subway (metro), no McDonald's but KFC is existing ... Yiwu is very close to Jinhua. Quote
