linking adjectives with the word 'and'

I read that I shouldn't use the word 'he2' between two adjectives in mandarin. What word should i use instead?

This is the sentence I'm trying to write:

It is sunny and cooler.

Correct, 和 only links noun phrases and therefore does not work like the conjunction "and" in English. In fact, no single word in Chinese works just like "and" does. The 又...又... construction is the one most used for linking adjectives, e.g. 他又高又胖.他又大方又体贴.

The 又...又... construction suggests a logical correspondence between the adjectives. If you want to write "it is a sunny and cold day", I would skip the conjunction altogether and write something like "天气晴朗寒冷".
