LA Guy Posted August 17, 2011 at 04:14 AM Report Posted August 17, 2011 at 04:14 AM Hi all, I wanted to see if someone can give us feedback on how well organized and the quality of education being given to students looking to go overseas to the US / UK / Aus and compete at the high school and college levels. They have posted ads such as: Earn 300RMB+/50 minutes as a professional SAT instructor for DK Education in various cities. http://www.chinateacherregistry.com/user/school.detail.php?id=2562 DK Education, China's fastest growing SAT training company, is currently looking for SAT instructors to run classes and private tutoring sessions. We are also looking for instructors that are comfortable teaching academic writing, SAT II subject tests, and AP Literature and History. Classes will be held on week nights, and weekends, and private tutoring can be arranged to fit the schedule of both teacher and student. Weekly time commitments are from 3-12 hours per week, depending on schedule. The school was founded by an entrepreneur expat: Jonathan Haagen - Founder and Director at DK Educationhere is a part of his LinkedIn profile: Entrepreneur with broad experience in the Chinese education sector. Direct experience with marketing, business development, product development and management. Interested in international education, educational policy, new media/social media in education and educational consulting. Specialties: branding, curriculum development, educational consulting, HR and management Apparently, you require more formal teaching skills oriented to helping Chinese Students score well on the SAT and other exams and will be teaching "exhausted students" on weeknights and weekends. So, I'm looking for feedback and comments on these kind of teaching opportunities. Thanks, LA Guy Quote
