Anyone help me with 赊黄？

I came across this phrase which was about a business which had customers running up credit, eventually the business and credit became 赊黄。。。my idea was that the customers defaulted on their credit and it remained unpaid. Can anyone confirm the meaning of this term?

Basically I think it means that the business had to close down because of too much outstanding customer debt. But I have only seen this word once or twice before, so not sure whether I really have understood it correctly or not.

Thanks for the reply Xiaocai. When I googled the expression I come up with only a few links to businesses which have had this happen, but it seems to be pretty rare -or maybe limited to certain areas of the country? I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has come across it...?

It seemed to me that the use of 黄 is related to the meaning of 'to fall through'?

Maybe dialectic, I myself have never heard any one using it.

If a plan has not been carried out successfully (was started but failed) sometimes it is referred as (the plan) 黄了. I don't know if these two words are somehow connected or not.

Governors of a village gave an empty promise of paying the bills to a small restaurant later on, leaving a bad debt of 40,000 yuan though, which drove the restaurant almost to close down.

I think you have made a right explanation.

BTW: This word isn't used frequently in daily life.
