New Members Monad Posted August 27, 2011 at 04:40 AM New Members Report Posted August 27, 2011 at 04:40 AM Hi, I got to Beijing a few days ago (to study for a year) and I still don't have a Chinese name. My name is Ren and I was wondering if 德仁 would be considered a good name, or if it has some other meanings that I may not be aware of. Any comments would be gratefully received. Thanks. Quote

OneEye Posted August 28, 2011 at 01:37 AM Report Posted August 28, 2011 at 01:37 AM It is also apparently the name of the crown prince of Japan, Naruhito. So keep that in mind. Quote

qodobop Posted August 30, 2011 at 05:21 AM Report Posted August 30, 2011 at 05:21 AM It is good except the name is little too formal. We often use the two words for moral or ethnical puropose. They are apparently reminding me of Confucius. It is no problem at all if you only use one of them in your name. But if you use both... um... it really sounds like Emporor in Japan... Quote
