I've stayed in Hong Kong the past few weeks and the humidity is getting to be unbearable.. the heat is fine. But anyways, is there any part of China that fits the following climate criteria?

1) Summer temperatures rarely/never over 35 C (prefer under 30 C)

2) Winter temperatures rarely/never below -5 C (prefer over 0 C)

3) Dewpoints rarely/never over 20 C (prefer under 15 C)

Qingdao seems to fit that but i have no idea about dew points! So you might want to look around Shandong province

满洲里 is a fine town. Have a look, the weather is perfect.

I think there can't be that many places in China where both your first and second conditions are met. But if humidity is a big issue, the northern inland cities will probably be more comfortable. At the beginning of July, I travelled around Inner Mongolia and surrounding provinces, and also in Chongqing, Guilin and Changsha. The temperatures in all of these places were similar, but the northern cities (Hohhot, Yinchuan, Xi'an) were a lot more comfortable than the southern, simply because the air was much drier. On the other hand, winter in those cities is likely to see temperatures far below -5 C. Someone mentioned Qingdao, which is probably a reasonable compromise (at least it's a pleasant city), but I still suspect winter temperatures can drop substantially below -5 C.

What about 昆明 (Kunming), city of enternal spring?

and eternal rain?

No doubt, Qing Dao has the best climate in North China. It rarely reach 30C in summer. And it is a large beatiful city at the seaside. For the cities in South China, there is always problem of humidity. Of course it's getting less humid as you are going further to the north, but the winter is also getting colder...

Obviously no place is perfect, but Kunming has a lot going for it. Late spring and summer do bring rain. It has more contrast between the day time highs and night time lows than many places in China, which makes for pleasant summer evenings. I would imagine that is due to the altitude.

I just got back from a visit to Zhuhai and Macau, and the air is so much less sticky here. I must admit to also liking the Shandong coast, especially up around Yantai.

I'm in Qingdao at the moment and it's pretty comfortable, but you'd expect that in September. It's around 29 during the day and 20 at night, so i'd probably find July/August pretty uncomfortable to be honest : / i'm not good in the heat!
