So if I would like to say "Please convey my best regards to the teacher", I must say "请替我向老师问候。" Is it right?

Oh, I see! Anyway, I used to hear someone saying "请他送我最好的问候" to mean "please send my best regards to him". It is right? Thanks a lot for your prompt and helpful answer. That really solved my problem. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes to you.

Sounds a bit odd to me, but then I'm not a native speaker of Chinese.

A more formal translation, but a little long:

请代我向他致以最诚挚的问候

Posted
请替我向他问候

问候 is written Chinese, and could be interpreted as an insult in some occasions.

问好 is more appropriate and commom in daily conversation.

e.g. 请替我向他问好
