Andrew 45 Posted September 3, 2011 at 11:02 AM Report Posted September 3, 2011 at 11:02 AM Hello! This is my first topic, but I looked through the forums before asking this using search... didn't find a topic like this one (mosty because of the many topics that came up in search). Anyway... I want to learn with my sister, so we're getting pimsleur, but the thing is, what would be the best way to go about this? I think the important things about pimsleur are listening to the speaker, repeating it, and hearing yourself say it so you can actively compare in your mind how close you were. However, with two people, if they speak at the same time, they may not be able to hear themselves speak accurately to hear mistakes. So... is this so? Does anyone have any experience with this? Or should I make even more time and try to do this for an hour (30 minutes her, then 30 minutes me)? I'm not exactly hurting for time, but if I can make it 30 minutes a day and not an hour that would be great. This is her first foreign language (and my second) so I want to stick with her to build her confidence, I can't just let her do her 30 minutes while I'm doing something else. Thank you! Quote
