New Members learnafren Posted September 13, 2011 at 06:09 PM New Members Report Posted September 13, 2011 at 06:09 PM Hello! Everyone There always have been speculations as to what kind of ailment may get reimbursed and which one cannot among the CSC students. I would like to hear from the people who successfully claimed the insurance and had the experience of some kind of medical treatments for their problems, the kind of hospital they attended and in case of a surgery if it was done in an in-patient or out-patient ward. Does the failure to inform the school before an operation in case of an emergency or some another reasons deprives us of a chance of compensation and what do they want to exactly make sure, I guess we must not be feigning the problem and that the treatment that we get must be medically unavoidable for our case and it's not a choice that we make on ourselves.I have also come to know the insurance is covered for people who attend the cheapest hospitals. In this regard I would like to think if we compromise on our health to get the expenses covered by insurance makes the concept of Insurance becomes ineffective and ridiculous, I don't necessarily mean costly medication always guarntees us of health. Anyways, What about the cost incurred in carrying out different tests which we invariably have to take because of the prescription of the doctors for prognosis and what about the costs of medicines that's on the prescription? Brian US Posted September 16, 2011 at 01:58 AM Report Posted September 16, 2011 at 01:58 AM I wouldn't count on it for much. The only serious problem I'm aware of was when a friend went to the hospital and got a 200+ RMB bill. She took the receipts to our school office but she only got around 150 RMB reimbursed. She was short some documentation, but didn't want to bother going back to the hospital for 50 RMB. She went to the nearest public hospital. It's a very good question, but it might be best to ask your school as I believe they are the ones that will approve any kind of reimbursement. I was going to get around and register at a foreign hospital in Beijing that would take my American insurance. Quote
New Members learnafren Posted September 16, 2011 at 02:54 AM Author New Members Report Posted September 16, 2011 at 02:54 AM ^_^ Thank you Brian so much. So far as the school is concerned on this issue, they have very arbitrary kind of reasons to choose whether they should reimburse the expenses or not and they sound very illogical. That is why I am looking for responses from other friends here so that I can get convinced about the process well. Quote
