Translate Traditional to simplified

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, my Microsoft word only has Spanish and French translations. And I'm not allowed to download any other Word versions. =(

The GNU program iconv converts between most character encodings. There should be a Windows binary for it floating around somewhere online:

Converting from any of the traditional encodings to a simplified one (GB2313) would automatically simplify the text.

You will need to know if your Chinese characters are being stored in Unicode, Big-5, or the internal Windows format. You probably want to convert to GB18030.
