New Members jds12 Posted September 23, 2011 at 04:23 PM New Members Report Posted September 23, 2011 at 04:23 PM I am thinking of studying Chinese for one or two semesters at Harbin Normal University. I have taken two years of Chinese as an undergraduate in the U.S. Does anyone have any opinions on Harbin Normal's quality? Quote
kdavid Posted September 23, 2011 at 11:08 PM Report Posted September 23, 2011 at 11:08 PM Unless there's been a recent change I don't know about, It's not renown for it's Chinese program. Why are you choosing this school over HIT, or a private school like Bincai? Quote
laowang Posted September 28, 2011 at 02:58 AM Report Posted September 28, 2011 at 02:58 AM I had visited Bincai and Korean Chinese School last August, they can not issue JW 202 form which is required for applying for an F or X stusy visa. Only the state-run university can offer you JW 202. So for long term studies, you have to go to HIT or Heida etc. I guess they are better than Harbin Normal University. For short course if you can apply for an L visa, you denfinitly can go to the private schools. Quote
