paperbagprince23 Posted September 24, 2011 at 04:12 AM Report Posted September 24, 2011 at 04:12 AM Please don't tell me I am the only one who has seen/loves this movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117905/ Its, to quickly sum it up, a love story between two mainlanders as the struggle to strive in survive in Hong Kong. It is set to the music of 邓丽君 and around her music and death. The film manages to blend the changes of China, Hong Kong and two peoples lives, yet is always simple. There is a seen in which the two of them are selling 邓丽君 memorabilia in the rain; probably one of my favorite scenes in Chinese cinema. Any other fans of it? I know its supposedly pretty popular. If not, I cannot recommend it enough. Hope you check it out! Quote

Take a look at these threads (one is quite old, dated 2003) - http://www.chinese-f...t-a-love-story/ http://www.chinese-f...ms-about-china/ Quote
