Inscription on back of fathers watch from Trade Mission to China in the early 1970's

My father received a watch as a gift during one of the first trade missions to China in the early 1970's. He worked for McGraw-Hill Publishing company at the time.

My Mom has asked me to find out what the inscription on the back of the watch says.

It could be a phonetic translation of the name du Pont.

Thank you for your response. That makes sense, as the manufacturer of this watch was the Dupont company in Paris. I was hoping it was something more interesting! :-)
