Understudy Posted October 12, 2011 at 06:52 AM Report Posted October 12, 2011 at 06:52 AM Hey, So I have to leave China in about a week as part of renewing my Visa. I am currently on a multiple entry tourist visa that allows me to have a maximum three month stay before I exit. If I enter Hong Kong, am I able to re-enter the mainland on the same day? Or is there a grace-period before I can begin my next 3 months? Quote

abcdefg Posted October 13, 2011 at 02:06 PM Report Posted October 13, 2011 at 02:06 PM Yep. I often do that too. Turn around and re-enter China within the same hour. Quote
Matty Posted October 17, 2011 at 12:41 AM Report Posted October 17, 2011 at 12:41 AM I often get the $85 "Tourist Cross - boundry Travel Pass (1 Day)" pass and go see my friends in Hong Kong, do some banking, go shopping and what ever else I may come up with on a whim. Don't forget buying expensive electronics is usually much cheaper in Hong Kong, but remember to check the warranty information. The pass gives you unlimited access on the subway until midnight the day it is first used and one trip to and from Shenzhen. So I'm always entering and exiting on the same day and have never had a problem but do enjoy staying for a few hours after the 14 hour trip there and before the 14 hour trip home. Quote
