Friday Posted October 14, 2011 at 10:20 PM Report Posted October 14, 2011 at 10:20 PM When using Anki, I'd like to spend some time studying new words from my textbook, as well as reviewing all of the old vocabulary that I already partly know, which I wish to review or correct minor problems to. As I've just recently started using Anki, so I'm adding these old words as well as the new words from my textbook. Here is the problem: I'd like to study 10 new words from the textbook each day and 50 from the review words. However, when I go to study and Anki selects new words to study for the day, they aren't selected with this balance. As I've added lots of review words, it is essentially going through the review words and I rarely see any words from the textbook. Quote
WestTexas Posted October 15, 2011 at 01:08 AM Report Posted October 15, 2011 at 01:08 AM You can put the review words in one deck and the words from your textbook in another deck. Then, when you are finished with the textbook, merge the decks. That's probably the simplest option. Quote

laurenth Posted October 15, 2011 at 05:04 AM Report Posted October 15, 2011 at 05:04 AM Hello, Another solution could be to use the "cram" tool. (Tools > Cram > Choose the cards you want to review). See http://ankisrs.net/docs/CramMode.html Hope this helps, Laurenth Quote
