xiaoxiaocao Posted August 9, 2012 at 04:11 AM Report Posted August 9, 2012 at 04:11 AM Which branch of Hebei University? I have visited their Baoding campus. It was surprisingly nice. They do HSK testing there. Don't know anything about their academic programs though. Quote
edelweis Posted August 12, 2012 at 07:45 AM Report Posted August 12, 2012 at 07:45 AM Here are a few links just out of curiosity: University Website in English: http://www.hbu.net.cn/en/ International Exchange Office website in English: http://oice.hbu.edu.cn/en.htm (it has an International Orientation Student Guide with information about registration etc.) Website of the Journalism and Communication department (is that where you'll be studying?) This page has notices about undergraduate studies in that department. 1 Quote

New Members cherry.l Posted May 29, 2013 at 03:47 PM New Members Report Posted May 29, 2013 at 03:47 PM I studied at Hebei University, just a few months, but I spent a very nice time and I miss it! The town is small and can get bored. There are only two dance clubs, several bars. There is also not too much foreign students. Approximately 150. All, except Canadians, live in one place. Most of the foreign students are from Mongolia and Africa, some Russians, some Latinos, very few Europeans. However, in the dorm, you can organize a number of parties for a few months. The disadvantage is hot water, which is only during these hours: 7-8, 12-13, 20-23. Rooms are double and single. There aren't high quality but they're not so bad too. Each floor has a washing machine, there is one kitchen in a dormitory, classrooms and dining room are also in the dorm. However, I would recommend eating in restaurants outside, because it is delicious (for example Dapeng). I took a Chinese language course there. The teachers were awesome and very involved. I really learned a lot there. Chinese students are very helpful and wiling to help in learning Chinese. I recommend Hebei University, especially those who really want to learn Chinese, but not partying too much, because there are only few places to party and people get bored after 3 months 2 Quote
