So, I'm back on Live Mocha to supplement my other studies. I did a writing task and got two different 'correct examples' back. I understand the grammar of each response, but what's the difference? Is one 'more' correct than the other?

I wrote:

这个女人是高不佬。

他男人是老不少。

他男孩是矮不老。

这个奴孩是少不高。

你是高不少。

我是矮不老。

Response 1:

这个女人高她不老。

他男人很老。

他男孩矮但不老。

这个女孩年轻但不高。

你高。

我矮

Response 2:

这个女人是高的，不是矮的.

他男人是老的，不是年轻(少)的。

这个男孩是矮的，不是高的。

这个女孩是矮的，不是高的

Out of curiosity, what was the English meaning that you were trying to express? It's not entirely clear to me from what you wrote, so it's difficult to say if either of those responses is correct.

Correct: 这个女人不但长得高，而且不老。

他男人是老不少。

Correct: 他的丈夫有点老。

他男孩是矮不老。

Correct: 他的儿子虽然矮，但是年轻。

这个奴孩是少不高。

Correct: 这个女孩虽然年轻，但是长得不高。

你是高不少。

Correct: 你虽然高，但是不年轻。

我是矮不老。

Correct: 我虽然矮，但是年轻。

这个女人是高不佬。

Correct: 这个女人长得高，不老。

他男人是老不少。
