fanglu Posted October 29, 2011 at 11:11 AM Report Share Posted October 29, 2011 at 11:11 AM Hah. This looks like my writing. "Your Chinese is very good! Keep up the good work."
skylee Posted October 29, 2011 at 11:13 AM Report Share Posted October 29, 2011 at 11:13 AM It says "你的中文(将)会说的很好!加油!" -> You will speak Chinese very well. You can do it (something like this). It is my guess that the word in brackets is 将. If it is, it was badly written (perhaps the writer had forgotten how to write it?)
fanglu Posted October 29, 2011 at 11:18 AM Report Share Posted October 29, 2011 at 11:18 AM I initially thought 将 as well but it just didn't look like it. Maybe it's 水平. I know that doesn't make sense grammatically but I'm thinking it's not a Chinese person that wrote this.
imron Posted October 29, 2011 at 11:36 AM Report Share Posted October 29, 2011 at 11:36 AM Plus, it should be: 说得很好.
skylee Posted October 29, 2011 at 11:42 AM Report Share Posted October 29, 2011 at 11:42 AM I agree with imron. But perhaps there is no need to preach the use of 得, as really lots of people really think 的 is correct and they don't care about 得 in this context, and they use 的 like this every day (oh it is like I am saying there is no need to tell people smoking will kill you as lots and lots of people smoke .... hahaha).

马盖云 Posted October 30, 2011 at 02:15 AM Report Share Posted October 30, 2011 at 02:15 AM OP, you should give this note back to whoever gave you that one: 你写汉字,写得不太好!多练习吧!
skylee Posted October 30, 2011 at 03:53 AM Report Share Posted October 30, 2011 at 03:53 AM I think the note writer meant to encourage the OP. It would not be polite to question/laugh at his/her handwriting.
New Members pahdzah Posted October 30, 2011 at 08:10 AM Author New Members Report Share Posted October 30, 2011 at 08:10 AM Actually the note writer is my classmate who's learning Chinese. So I think he recieved this note from his teacher, he was convinced that i won't be able to translate it, and he gave me it just for fun- to show me that he can write Chinese So I think " 你写汉字,写得不太好!多练习吧!" would be great reply :> Anyway, thank you very much!!
