Translation for part of a poem

Hello, wondering if someone could help me with a translation-

This is a line from a poem(山園小梅 by 林逋) in traditional characters:

眾芳搖落獨暄妍，占斷風情向小園。

When using a conversion generator to simplified Chinese it is:

众芳摇落独暄妍，

占断风情向小园。

Wikipedia says the translation is: "When everything has faded they alone shine forth,

encroaching on the charms of smaller gardens."

I am trying to find out how to say just "When everything has faded they alone shine forth"

Will just saying "众芳摇落独暄妍" make sense?

If not, is there a better way of saying this phrase?

And if someone could also write in pinyin to help me understand the pronunciation, that would be great. Thanks

I don't know if I understand you correctly or not but I think you are asking that if 众芳摇落独暄妍 would be the best translation of "When everything has faded they alone shine forth"

If that is your question, I think translation of highly literary works such as poems normally don't work backwards. There are always nuances lost in translation and you will not be able recognise what the original text is if it has been done back and forth between two or more languages for a few times. One example I can remember is Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde. It is still a mystery exactly which Chinese poems some of the songs were translated from.

Google with "convert chinese characters to pinyin" and you will find many online programs can do that for you.

It is referring to plum blossoms and how they can survive the winter while other flowers can't.
