giraffe Posted November 1, 2011 at 11:05 AM Report Posted November 1, 2011 at 11:05 AM I just discovered a fantastic little app called TuneIn for listening to online radio. It gives you access to thousands of stations around the world including lots of Chinese radio stations from both Taiwan and the PRC. The absolutely killer feature though, is that it allows you to record and play back later. I've been recording programs when I'm at home using my wifi connection and playing them back when I'm out and about (so I don't drain my data plan). The program also organizes stations by format (sports, music, talk); provides program titles; and allows you to create presets, so it's easy to find what you want to hear. Don't bother with the free version because it doesn't allow you to record. The pro version is worth the 99 cent price many times over. It's a great tool for people outside China who are studying Chinese. https://market.andro...me.player&hl=en [edit - and of course after I post this message I do a search and find that the app has been discussed several times previously. sigh] 1 Quote
roddy Posted November 2, 2011 at 09:40 AM Report Posted November 2, 2011 at 09:40 AM Well, there was no Tunein specific topic. I have the Apple app and use it quite a bit. Recreates that random FM radio listening I used to do, and I can get a fix of 北京交通台 when I need it. Quote
