Okay, as my beginnings as a (very) amateur translator are just getting started, here is another question I am going to crowd-source: How to phrase 他们遍及城乡的婚姻 in English?

他们 and 婚姻 are easy enough, but the the specific way in which 遍及城乡的 modifies 婚姻 is what I am curious about. I have to admit that this isn't just a problem I have of how to word it in English, but I honestly don't understand what is meant by 遍及城乡的婚姻. Does it mean that the practice of marriage is widespread (common) in this society? Does it mean that the individuals being talked about have multiple marriages?

The phrase is actually 他们遍及城乡的婚姻、性咨询及治疗诊所 - something like their widely available (to the extent that they can be found in every city and village) marriage / sexual life consultation services and clinics.

If you don't understand this sentence, I suggest you read and write more before attempting translation.

Oh, the two phrases aren't really two phrases. Thanks so much! It has been so long since I saw a clause by a comma like that.

Don't worry: I know that I am far from ready to be a pro translator. I am just doing this for practice. This is my reading practice, but I am just resuming after a while of not doing much in Chinese, I I imagine that I will need to put some time and effort into it before I get back to my former level.
