Gus Posted November 5, 2011 at 07:48 AM Report Posted November 5, 2011 at 07:48 AM Does anyone have experience using a website to manage a student group in China? I'm trying to avoid making my own site from scratch, and I've used Google Groups and Google Sites before but they both appear to be blocked here.... What I'm looking for is the functionality of a facebook group: the ability to add pages, discussion topics, email all group members, etc. Does anyone know of a Chinese site or a site that isn't blocked in China that can help me out? jono1001 Posted November 6, 2011 at 01:31 AM Report Posted November 6, 2011 at 01:31 AM You could use Moodle Free and Opensource. Create your own discussion topics, email all group members and more. It is used widely in schools and university for virtual learning environments. I use it to create courses and the students seem to enjoy working in this environment. Quote
Gus Posted November 6, 2011 at 07:38 AM Author Report Posted November 6, 2011 at 07:38 AM Hey guys thanks for your suggestions. I'm going to go with Yahoo Groups, which apparently is not blocked in China, for future reference. Quote
