Hi everyone,

Was wondering whether you could help me with some quick transliteration into Chinese for the following Indian(!) names.

I did look online, but understandably, it was difficult to find good transliterations for these names.

1) Nik Sachdeva

2) Manu Sachdeva

3) Ajay Mehta

I recorded the pronounciation of these names here: http://kiwi6.com/file/498tv0ph4o (and attached an MP3 file to this post).

It would of course also help if the Chinese did not mean anything offensive! :)

Would also be grateful if you could verify the following translations:

电话 - Telephone

手机 - Cell Phone

电子邮件 - E-Mail

主任 - Director (as in a business position; director of a company)

Thanks a lot guys - really appreciate it. :)

Email can be shortened to 电邮. The translation of director depends very much on the place and company. In Hong Kong, usually it is 董事, whereas 主任, the term you mentioned, is usually relatively low-ranking in the business world. The translations of phone and cell phone are ok.
