The quotes I am looking to translate are "love never fails" or "true love never fails" and "without struggle there is no progress" or "without struggle no progress" If you are 100% positive on how to translate these PLEASEEE help me! Please, also, if these will not make sense or something is wrong let me know because I don't want to mess it up! Thank you so much for your time! Shelley Posted November 12, 2011 at 10:50 AM Report Share Posted November 12, 2011 at 10:50 AM Hello, IMHO you should think very carefully before committing to such a permanent thing. If you want to spread your message to other people, do you think the majority of the the people who will see it will understand it in chinese?. If not, what's the point. Chinese characters do not have any kind of "magic" or enhanced meanings. Do it in your own language then people will be able to read it. Chose a nice fancy font and it will still be decoritive but also understandable. Tattoos - think once, think twice, then think some more:) Good luck Shelley
rezaf Posted November 12, 2011 at 11:06 AM Report Share Posted November 12, 2011 at 11:06 AM For "without struggle there is no progress" you could say 不勞無獲 but I don't think it's a very positive sentence. personally I like 不勞而獲 more which is not what you are looking for
