I might have to move to Changchun soon for work. (I'm an English teacher.) Can you guys personally recommend any universities in that city? I'm hoping to hear from people who have actually studied there, especially at universities.

Thank you!

I studied in Changchun in the winter semester of 2005 at Jilin University. The teaching curriculum was very similiar to that which you get at most universities (morning classes from around 8-12), but I learnt a lot in one semester, although I had previously studied Chinese and I worked pretty hard! The university generally has a good reputation and most of the foreing students were non-western (Korean, Japanese and Russian), so it makes it very good if you are keen on getting the most out of study and being able to use mandarin most of the time. If you are there for work and want part-time courses I'm not sure what is available, if you need real flexibility you may need a smaller private school or one on one lessons etc.
