Need help having my symptoms translated for a doctor's appointment

Hey guys,

I need to see an eye doctor and am a little worried about the language barrier. If someone could properly translate my symptoms for me, I'd be very grateful:

"Almost every morning I wake up because my right eye hurts. The pain then gradually goes away and is almost gone after about an hour. It comes after I've had a night's sleep; never at the end of the day, and it hurts most when I blink. When it's sore, the eye tears up quickly. Eye drops don't help. The eye is not noticeably red, does not look swollen and there is no crust around it. I don't think I sleep with my eyes open. I've had this problem on and off for several months."

Thank you!

Hope you'll get well soon!

EDIT: translation corrected

Do you mean tears emerge from your right eye or it feels like the eye is torn?

Just one small note, I think here "tears up" refers to 眼里流出泪水 not 撕裂開來.

Edit: Kenny beat me to it. From the English, I think it should be tears emerge from the eye.

the eye tears up quickly.

The explanation from imron, and the question from kenny are more pertinent related to the context. But can 'tear' ( n. 眼淚) be used as a verb here?

EDIT: Yes, tear 眼淚 can be used as a verb. I stand corrected.

I don't think I sleep with my eyes open.

Are your sure? I was once told by an eye doctor that my eye irritation had to do with my not closing my eyes tightly enough during sleep. So if I leave my TV on, my eyes hurt quite badly in the morning. The solution for me is to sleep in a dark environment.

Perhaps you could check if there is any light source on the right side of your bed. Just a thought.

Thanks all. :) Yes, I meant tears emerge from the eye. Sorry I wasn't clear enough there. I went to an eye clinic with the first translation this morning and even if it wasn't entirely correct it worked great to get me passed the first nurses. Then I got to see a doctor who knew a bit of English. He noticed some minor damage on my right eye and gave me a couple of different brands of eye drops. Hope it'll work!

BTW, skylee, thanks for the advice. My bedroom is completely dark at night and my boyfriend says he's never seen me sleep with my eyes open even just a bit, nevertheless it's worth keeping in mind.

@kenny

对了,crust是眼屎还是眼睛周围的硬皮?

About the eye crust, you can check here. But of course it still depends on what zhouhana meant by it.

Perhaps I chose the wrong word. I meant there is none of that yellowish, sometimes sticky substance around the eye that you sometimes have in the mornings or when your eye is infected. (I meant it as another way of saying "I don't think the eye is infected.")
