胡山云闇

In Vietnam, in funeral processions if the deceased is your father you have a banner with the words: 胡山云闇

If it is your mother you have the words: 已岭万迷

Does anyone know the meaning/significance of these? I see similar characters (not the same though) usually something with the character shan1 or shui3 on the tombstones of over 90% of Chinese people in the local graveyard.

Do Chinese have similar traditions?
