elliott50 Posted December 13, 2011 at 07:33 AM Report Share Posted December 13, 2011 at 07:33 AM (edited) Thank you @imluffy, I could not read the handwriting! The first is a quote from "林彪" Lín Biāo (1907-1971) a veteran Communist military leader and Mao Zedong's designated successor until his death, which he said on "一九六七年十一月二十九日" 29th November 1967: "大海航行靠舵手" (when) sailing the seas (one) relies on the Helmsman, "干革命靠毛泽东思想" (when) carrying out a revolution (one) relies on Mao Zedong Thought. Mao's armband says: "Red Guard". The second one says something like: "(at this) critical juncture the sound of crashing thunder (will) open a new universe -- Bombard the headquarters." Mao is writing: "Bombard the headquarters". Edited December 13, 2011 at 04:16 PM by elliott50
