Guest AlexF Posted January 11, 2005 at 12:16 PM Report Posted January 11, 2005 at 12:16 PM Hi there, plz look at this joke translation.. I will be grateful if you correct it. 小孩儿在住宅疾驰着呢, 从餐具橱扔下书着呢, 撒开衣服着呢, 椅子推倒着呢… 保姆跑进和问他着呢: - 你作什么吗? - 我玩耍呢. - 哪玩耍吗? - «他妈的! 哪里我车的钥匙!!» Here is the english version of above: A little boy rushes about the flat, drops down books from the sideboard, scatters clothes, throws over chairs… Baby-sitter comes running and asks him: - What are you doing? - I’m playing the game. - Which game? - “Where are those damn car keys!!” one question at start.. To indicate the continuing state of action i am to use 着 or 呢 or both? and in which part of the sentence? after every verb or in the end of sentence? Thanx Quote
fugitive_heart Posted January 11, 2005 at 02:02 PM Report Posted January 11, 2005 at 02:02 PM according to the english version, here is my translation. 一个小男孩在房间里乱跑,把餐柜上的书掉到地上,把衣服撒的到处都是,还把椅子翻到在地... 保姆跑进来问他: 你在做什么? 我在玩游戏。 什么游戏? 那些该死的车钥匙在哪里? p.s.着and呢不能乱用。 Quote
Guest AlexF Posted January 11, 2005 at 02:25 PM Report Posted January 11, 2005 at 02:25 PM Thanx! (ohh, my translation looks too bad) some questions.. 1. 玩耍 looks unnatural? or it is not in use? 2. 我在玩游戏 here 在 means 'here'? is this a MUST to say? 3. you did not use neither 着 nor 呢 - is it unnecessary here to indicate continuing state of action? Where is it useful? Thanx alot Quote
CBC Posted January 14, 2005 at 02:01 PM Report Posted January 14, 2005 at 02:01 PM 玩耍is used to describe sth, more written. 在 is a mark for present tense.Better use it. 着is used right after a verb for a continuing state of action , e.g. 看着,听着 so you can't use it after 扔。I'm not sure that 呢 has such indication.
