Pravit Posted January 13, 2005 at 07:43 PM Report Posted January 13, 2005 at 07:43 PM Have you posted your e-mail somewhere where a bot could find it? Quote
Cyberian Posted January 14, 2005 at 12:33 AM Report Posted January 14, 2005 at 12:33 AM I read some of your post history. Some of them can be offensive. Supposely, someone is sending virus out to 'sinophobes', I don't see why they are singling you out. Surely they have better targets than you. Also, I don't see how they can attach virus using the e-mail function from the forum as it does not allow you to attach files. Unless you releashed your e-mail to the public. Your e-mail provider should have probed a virus, if one was there. Unless it was a custom virus that has never released to the public and the scanner could not have picked it up. Or you been using e-mail providers with no virus-scanning support. Virus-senders don't use their own e-mail account to send virues. That should be obvious. Neither do they use .sh.cn or .cn accounts as it gives away their location. There are anonymous location providers such as hotmail available for free. Quote
yonglan Posted January 14, 2005 at 01:02 AM Report Posted January 14, 2005 at 01:02 AM Umber, I haven't got any such thing. I do get a lot of that sort of stuff from .jp addresses, though, Cyberian. Quote
Cyberian Posted January 14, 2005 at 02:53 AM Report Posted January 14, 2005 at 02:53 AM How odd. I have been pissing off people in political forums, be it Leftist forums like Che-Lives or Rightist forums like JapanToday, for like years now. And I have not had 1 threat/virus mail. Althought I been better behaved in the year year. But still, never had a threat/virus mail sent to me in the past. Umber, are you getting real virus mail? Or just a claim/threat of a virus? Most large e-mail providers have virus filters. Quote
