末世爱情

here I am with a new question,

I' translating a novel by Can Xue,

and I'm not sure about how to translate the title 末世爱情.

I propose:

1): Love in the doomsday

2): The last phase of love

Which one do you think is most correct?

末世 in chinese is correct as doomsday or is wrong?

Well, I don't think "in the doomsday" sounds good at all in English, neither the 'in' nor the 'the'

OP, as you are translating the novel, could you tell us what 末世 refers to in the story (ie the context) so that we might come up with suitable suggestions, etc? For example, perhaps you can tell us the gist of the story, etc.

Dear Skylee, this is more or less the gist of the story...

这仍是一个发生在小镇上的故事，四爷是一个孤独的老人，有一间空房，正是因为这间房子，引发了很多人的猜测，认为四爷在跟罗家酒铺的寡妇谈恋爱。慢慢地，四爷真的和寡妇开始了风流约会。与此同时，四爷也迷上了和罗寡妇一起给死人烧纸钱。后来四爷的房子要拆迁了，伴随着的还有关于罗寡妇另有新欢的传言。最后，因为四爷涉嫌破坏拆迁被抓，告密的正是罗寡妇。小说仍然充满了残雪式的扑朔迷离，但四爷对于爱情的深情和执着，寡妇爱情心理的犹疑以及此后的负罪感，以及镇上人的“看客”心理也都一一彰显……

In my opinion, according to the context the translation "Dooomsday love" would be ok, I just need to check if dommsday is the correct grammatical translation for 末世.
