New Members Oldchinaman Posted January 6, 2012 at 06:50 PM New Members Report Posted January 6, 2012 at 06:50 PM Hi everyone! I am hoping to currently visit china on a double entry Tourist L Visa however I have a few questions regarding some questions on the application form. It asks for listing of accommodation of where I will be staying in the trip. Now I have not booked these yet but I can simply supply a hostel contact that I am thinking of using in the city I may visit, do I need to provide proof of accommodation? Also it asks for a point of contact in China but I do not know anyone there? I plan to enter the country from South Korea by ferry therefore I am not flying in. I have been speaking to a rather useless visa company and apparently from 16th January you need to provide proof of flight in and out of the country and proof of accommodation but if I apply before the 16th I can get by without providing the proof? Any comments or advise would be most appreciated, please help! Thank you, Alex Quote
大肚男 Posted January 6, 2012 at 08:33 PM Report Posted January 6, 2012 at 08:33 PM the last time I went, they didn't ask r proof of neither flight nor hotel reservation. as for the contact person, I put my girlfriend's name and info, but they didn't check any of it as far as I know. Quote
fanglu Posted January 7, 2012 at 02:33 AM Report Posted January 7, 2012 at 02:33 AM If you don't need proof, just do what everyone else does and pick some random hotels off the Internet. For the contact person write the hotel. If they require proof just find a website you can make a hotel booking on without paying and use that. (null) 1 Quote
Matty Posted January 11, 2012 at 12:45 AM Report Posted January 11, 2012 at 12:45 AM When filling the form out in Hong Kong I filled the form out something like... Specific address you will be residing: "Guangxi, Nannning" Home address: "Mong Kok, McDonalds" (I have no home and they told me to write where I stayed the night before...) A few days later I had a shiney new visa. I was half expecting not to get one honestly, but it goes to show... As for flight details, I've never had them. Quote
