Cyberian Posted January 16, 2005 at 08:38 PM Report Posted January 16, 2005 at 08:38 PM Hi, Can someone please provide me a link where I can acquire Chinese fonts? I am doing some amateur digital artwork and require some fancy fonts. Thanks in advance for the help. Quote

Cyberian Posted January 20, 2005 at 08:43 AM Author Report Posted January 20, 2005 at 08:43 AM Thanks, but I could not find what I was looking for. If anyone has or know where to get a fine brush Chinese font that supports Simplified, let me know. Quote
youpii Posted February 20, 2005 at 12:30 AM Report Posted February 20, 2005 at 12:30 AM try this one: http://www.arphic.net/tw/download/gkai00mp.zip Quote
Cyberian Posted February 20, 2005 at 04:51 AM Author Report Posted February 20, 2005 at 04:51 AM Thanks. A little better, but it is not 'handwriting'. The site which I got it from is no longer available. And my backup source is gone too. The above looks pretty close to what I am looking for. If you get a box with red 'x' go here: http://tinypic.com/1s00i9 Quote

liuzhou Posted February 20, 2005 at 11:15 PM Report Posted February 20, 2005 at 11:15 PM WARNING! Do not click on the link above. The webpage contains a virus! (Win32 Codbas-14 Trojan) Quote
bluepoppy Posted February 21, 2005 at 01:03 PM Report Posted February 21, 2005 at 01:03 PM Hey, I am really sorry if anyone clicked on that link, I had no idea there was a problem. But after I posted the link I downloaded a font from there, so I must have the virus on my computer, but I can't find the details on the Grisoft or Norton websites, I don't know how to get rid of it. Did full scans with AVG and Norton Antivirus and Ad-Aware and Spybot and nothing is coming up! And what a nightmare cos I emailed an attachment to work last night and I might have ruined their computer. Also how did you know it was there? (So I could know in the future) Quote
gougou Posted February 21, 2005 at 01:12 PM Report Posted February 21, 2005 at 01:12 PM Some fonts here, dunno if thez have what you need: http://www.sino.uni-heidelberg.de/edv/sinopc/chinese_fonts.htm Quote
liuzhou Posted February 21, 2005 at 01:29 PM Report Posted February 21, 2005 at 01:29 PM Also how did you know it was there? My anti-virus program (Avast) detected it as soon as I clicked on the link. Quote
Cyberian Posted February 21, 2005 at 01:53 PM Author Report Posted February 21, 2005 at 01:53 PM Thanks for the link, Guoguo. But couldn't find what I was looking for. The virus is probably just a homepage hijack trojan targeted at IE. I get plenty of them before I switched to Firefox. Quote
the_p0et Posted March 13, 2005 at 08:39 AM Report Posted March 13, 2005 at 08:39 AM I'm having problems with the IME. I'm in Taiwan and want to use traditional chinese when chatting, working in Word etc... I've noticed there are quite a few words that I cannot type unless I use Chinese (PRC) and I don't want to always be switching back and forth between the two. For example: 等一下. Chinese (Taiwan) = 等一 deng yi but I need to switch over to Chinese (PRC) to type 下 xia since Chinese (Taiwan) doesn't recognize anything starting with "x". It also doesn't recognize "q". Any suggestions? Thanks. I also cannot seem to find Arial Unicode MS to download anywhere on any of the links in this forum. I'm also having the problem of no pinyin in MS Word and have gone through everything recommended on the forum. Quote
