Popular Post simplet Posted February 6, 2012 at 01:34 PM Popular Post Report Posted February 6, 2012 at 01:34 PM I just noticed that the Deutsche Welle website just got a completely new design, and it should be good news for all of us looking for news in chinese with transcripts. You could already find transcripts for most of the news pieces before, but you had to listen to the daily podcasts and then search the site for the transcripts, it wasn't really practical. It looks like now you only have to click on any news story on the main page, and it will take you to the transcript of the story with a link to the audio at the bottom of the page (doesn't look like there's a way to know if there is an audio file before clicking the link though, some have them and some don't). This way you can get bite-sized little pieces of news lasting 2 to 4 minutes each, and you don't have to listen through the 30 minutes podcasts (which are still there by the way) for individual news stories. Seems that they also have short video clips from DWTV translated into chinese, not sure if they used to do that. Only thing I can't really find is the transcript for the quick news overview they do at the beginning of the podcasts, if someone knows how to find that and could post it here, that'd be great! 7 Quote
